How Fabletics Challenges Online Retailers With Innovative Strategies

Kate Hudson’s athletic apparel brand Fabletics is now worth over $250 million. Launched only three years ago, Hudson has gone from a high-profile movie star to an entrepreneur with an impressive understanding of business strategy as she continues to watch innovative yet risky moves pay off.

Hudson’s initial business model was simple. Consumers can purchase apparel items on the Fabletics website or opt to become a VIP member. As a VIP member, customers subscribe to receive a monthly outfit in the mail for only $49.95 per month. Outfits are picked out by the Fabletics website based on a survey that subscribers fill out regarding their clothing tastes and workout preferences.

The company quickly grew its number of VIP members partly due to Hudson’s enormous social media popularity acting as a marketing tool for the brand. Hudson’s Instagram page boasts millions of followers who look to the actress as both a wellness guru and a style icon.

When Hudson introduced a handful of brick-and-mortar stores last year, the business world took notice. Many consider physical stores to be almost obsolete thanks to online retail trends. However, Hudson introduced her physical stores as “reverse showrooms,” allowing customers to come in and try the clothes on for themselves before becoming VIP members.

The risky strategy paid off. Hudson plans to open several more physical stores both in the United States and internationally over the next three to five years.

One of the reasons that this “reverse showroom” technique has been such a success for Fabletics is because of the way that the physical stores integrate the website into the shopping experiences of the stores’ customers. For instance, when a shopper tries an item on, that item appears in the customer’s online shopping cart. Customers who have not yet subscribed to become VIP members on the Fabletics website are encouraged to do so by store workers.

Fabletics also stocks each store based on which online items sell the best in each region. If Fabletics shoppers in California favor sports bras over sweatshirts, Fabletics stores in California will reflect these trends to ensure that customers are able to touch and try on as many different sports bras as possible.

It’s safe to say that the success of Fabletics is the result of Hudson’s deep understanding of modern consumers. Fabletics appeals to a new breed of shoppers who are interested in the convenience of the subscription-based shopping model. Hudson also created the brand right before the peak of the “athleisure” trend, which refers to the integration of athletic apparel into everyday wear. Her keen understanding of trends combined with her sense of risk is what has brought the company into the success it has today.

With “athleisure” still on the rise and more brick-and-mortar stores to come, Fabletics has a bright future ahead. Many other apparel brands are sure to follow Hudson’s lead in the year to come.

The Lung Institute is Using Stem Cells to Rapidly Change the Way People Handle Lung Disease

The lungs are a vital part of the body. They process the oxygen that the body carries into the bloodstream. Those that suffer from chronic lung disease often have difficulty breathing. They may get easily tired by engaging in relatively simple daily activities. COPD, asthma and pulmonary fibrosis can be hard to manage. Many people simply don’t have the energy to seek treatments that are only temporary.

Cedars-sinai.edu reveals that the good thing is that stem cell research may soon change these issues for the entire population. Some institutions like The Lung Institute are already helping to save people’s lives by remedying the root cause of the ailments. All of the aforementioned diseases are caused by damaged lung tissue.

The Lung Institute has facilities in Tampa, Arizona and Texas. They have helped many patients recover completely from their diseases. This is because stem cell therapy actually repairs the cells. Drugs are often administered with the intention of killing off infections or remedying pain. Stem cell research addresses the root cause of these diseases. Emphysema is naturally caused by activities like smoking. Quitting smoking after the lungs have been damaged will not repair the tissue that has already been damaged. Stem cell therapy uses juvenile cells. These are taken from the patient’s own bone marrow. They are then redistributed into the body. The intention is to allow them to replicate areas of tissue that have been damaged. The Lung Institute has many testimonials on its website that talk about how well the treatment has worked.

Life Styles After50 says that stem cell therapy is guaranteed to be a form of medicine that drastically improves the population’s quality of life. Families will feel relieved. Patients will rest easy. There is a difference between constantly performing upkeep on a disease and permanently knowing that a disease has been cured.

The Lung Institute attributes its high success rate to the team of talented people that it works with. COPD patients (http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/33635903/copd-patients-are-saying-yes-to-stem-cells-at-the-lung-institute-in-tampa) seem to be the most ecstatic about this emerging form of treatment. The treatment process takes only a few days. It is an outpatient procedure. The Lung Institute has proven that stem cell treatment is fast, safe and effective. The banking industry is comprised of many banking types and a huge number of individual banking institutions. The number of banking types and banking institutions make it difficult for many banking professionals to have the opportunity to talk and discuss banking with their peers. As a result, banking professionals sometimes miss out on opportunities to learn from other banking professionals or be introduced to new ideas.

One of the ways that many professionals in the banking industry attempt to bring banking professionals together is through events such as banking conferences. The chance to bring banking professionals together from different banking types and various locations gives everyone an opportunity to see the banking industry from different perspectives.

As a result, changes are made slowly in the banking industry. Structured banking related conferences like the one held by the Texas Banker’s Association are very valuable to baking professionals and the banking industry.
